We had a great stay at Tavira Inn! The hotel is 5 mins away from the lovely town center and it has all the commodities one might need with a really nice swimming pool. The owner Sebastao is incredibly friendly and makes all the guests feel very welcome. It is a place with a history, and a very "homey" feeling. I would definitely go back to there, and spend a little more than 4 days...

Uma otima semana, obrigado Sebastião! Uma casa muito simpatica, um quarto agradavel, e uma piscina de agua salgada e cristalina para refrescar! Perto do centro, perto de restaurantes e perto de boas praias. Tudo muito "laid-back"...

The inn is in a nice quiet spot of tavira, just by the river, next to a beautiful rail road bridge. It has outdoor parking places and a nice pool surrounded by natural vegetation. The rooms have a bathroom and are mild and everything works. There is no daily room service though, but you are informed where to find extra paper rolls, towels and sheets. The owner is nice, friendly and ready to solve any touristic question. There is a nice regional restaurant called 'O Ciclista' nearby the inn, both cheap and delicious.

This was a lovely place to stay in Tavira. Sebastiao was a fantastic host, He picked me up from the train station and drove there on the day of my departure. The pool was great and I had a great deal of privacy. Highly recommend!

It was really nice at the Tavira Inn. Sebastiao gave us good hints where to eat, rent a bike and what we could do in the region. It is really nice to start the day by swimming in the pool!

We spent a week in Tavira, (7th to 14th July 2013), and stayed at the Tavira Inn. The Inn is so beautiful and peaceful and is owned by Sebastiao. Sebastiao made us very welcome and was a great help in giving advice were to eat and where everything was in Tavira etc. The Inn itself is a small hotel with 5 rooms and a sea water pool. The room we stayed in had air con and was a good size with a balcony and a large bathroom. The bed was comfortable and a good size. The décor is very funky and clean. There is no service or cooking facilities, just a fridge. However we were aware of this at the time of booking and it suited us. Sebastiao is a very nice and friendly guy. He is quite funny and very keen to make sure that you are having a good time at Tavira Inn. It is the most peaceful place I have stayed. There is a rail bridge beside the Inn and the train can be a bit noisy, but it only lasts a few seconds and is not very frequent. It does not run during the night. Tavira itself is a beautiful place. It is not commercial which is the best thing about it. It is very much a quiet relaxing holiday place with some lovely restaurants, bars and places of interest. If you take the ferry to the beach you are in for a treat. The beach is just gorgeous with almost white sand and clear water. The water is warm too. If you are thinking about holidaying in Tavira check the availability of the Tavira Inn before you book anywhere else and you must try the traditional Portuguese cuisine at the O Ciclista, restaurant just a 10 minute walk across the river from the Tavira Inn. Be prepared to taste the best food you have ever eaten..!!! Michael and Andrea, Belfast, Ireland
