Good location for a short walk into Tavira, we had a room with a balcony overlooking the river, however Sabastion showed us around and all the rooms looked ver nice and comfortable ...great swimming pool............ no breakfast, however just 5 minute walk into the centre and lots of restaurants serve a very good breakfast for around 6 euros .... Interesting place, helpful host, train not a problem, thanks again for our stay ......

Perfect place in beautiful Tavira. Book your stay at Sebastiao hotel with no fear. Few minutes from center. Nice pool and bar. We have stayed there two times. And we will do this next time. There is no better place to stay in this fantastic town.

Had a great stay in the middle of February, just before the Carnival. Comfortable room - good facilities and only 5 minutes from the centre and bus station. Friendly landlord, full of good advice about places to eat and other advice. Can thoroughly recommend - no, I was paid nothing for writing these words!! Thanks, Sebastiao

Oct 20 – 25, 2008 After travelling by car through Portugal for two weeks, I said goodbye to my fantastic traveling companion and navigator and travelled by train from Lisbon to the Algarve for some much needed R&R. Lonely Planet at my side, I arrived in Tavira looking to find that special place to spend my last five nights in Portugal. So far the reviews in Lonely Planet and Trip Advisor had not failed to deliver. After a 5 minute walk from the centre of town, I arrived at the Tavira Inn and I was greeted by my host Sabastiao, and shown to my room. The room had a Mexican Villa feel to it and was bright, spacious & clean. The bathroom was large with an opening window and a heated towel rack, excellent for drying laundry! What a luxury! French Doors opened onto a private balcony overlooking the beautifully landscaped backyard and terrace around a sea water pool. This was truly the nicest room I’d seen during my travels. A perfect little paradise! I welcomed the opportunity to skip a few traditional morning meals and the mini fridge in the room would be perfect for storing a few snacks and chilling a bottle of wine or beer. This guest house is also Sabastiao’s home and has a very eclectic mix of furniture and art both of which reflect the eccentric personality of my host. Several beautiful architectural elements some evident, some not, have been put into this home. Sabastiao’s design has enabled him to have his own very private living space both inside and out while hosting guests in five other rooms. Three of the guest rooms have private balconies and the pool and terrace are common areas for all guests to enjoy. The time I spent in Tavira was the most memorable and relaxing of my three week vacation. I enjoyed beautiful beaches, excellent food, entertaining nightlife and uninterrupted sleeps. Sabastiao, thank you for your guided tours, your generosity and sharing your love of the classics. You are a wonderful host! Train Bridge? What Train Bridge?.
